Remembering Jan Mark Sloman

“It is with great sadness that we share in the loss of Jan Sloman, a great musician, teacher, and friend. Being his neighbor and colleague for many years, I was able to appreciate all the special qualities he brought to his colleagues and most importantly to his students. Very rarely has a teacher had such a profound effect on so many students at such a high level. His intelligent and systematic approach to teaching, mixed with humor and warmth will be greatly missed. We at GDYO would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family friends and many students. His legacy will always be a part of our community and the musical growth of young talented musicians.”
